Modern Home + Laneway House

This new home design and constructed in 2015 was commissioned by a growing family that loved the area and noticed Metric working on the completion of the next door property M1305 at the time of purchase. That Christmas of 2014 a development permit application was submitted for a four bedroom 2040 sq ft house and 580 sq ft Laneway House, and the family moved in the following Christmas. The two houses are different in their layouts, M1402 doesn’t have a basement and was built with a matching LWH.   The overall forms and materials complement each other while still stating firmly their individuality.
